Embassy Group announces free vaccination drive for all of its employees

 Embassy Group which is one of India’s largest real estate conglomerates has rolled out a free vaccination drive for its employees across India, beginning on 1st of June’21.

Post the Central Government giving its nod to private organisations to purchase the vaccines, Embassy stepped forward to procure them for its employees. It now aims to inoculate all 1867 employees located in the Bengaluru, Mumbai, Pune, Hyderabad, Chennai and NCR offices. The vaccine being administered is Covishield.

Being a people-first organization, Embassy Group believes the health and safety of our employees is of utmost importance. With the availability of vaccines for the 18+ age group, the country is seeing a spike in demand, along with other related challenges in accessing the vaccine. Through our vaccination drive, we want to ensure the health and wellbeing of our employees. We encourage other companies to come forward to set up vaccination drives and reduce the stress on the healthcare system of our country.”

With the second wave of the pandemic affecting the livelihood of all across the country, Embassy has extended all possible efforts towards the health and safety of its workers.

The company along with awareness programs on following Covid related protocols at construction sites and work places, has also set up medical camps and regular health checks for construction workers.

Embassy has also introduced covid insurance through ‘Corona Kavach’, helping employees take care of expenses in case they have tested positive for Covid-19 such as hospitalization expenses associated with PPE kits, oxygen cylinders, ventilators, consultation fees and pre/post hospitalization among other costs. Understanding importance of mental health during the pandemic, Embassy has also planned virtual wellness activities for its people such as relaxation yoga and mental health webinars.

These initiatives are crucial in addressing the overall physical and mental health of the workers and sets an example of leading with empathy.
