In light of the ravaging coronavirus crisis in India, a global container line shipping company has decided to lend a helping hand to the people of India amid the devastating situation engulfing the nation.
Haifa-based ZIM shipping has announced that it will carry any container carrying medical-grade oxygen, oxygen tanks, oxygen bottles, oxygen generators, and oxygen concentrators to India for a freight charge of only one-dollar.
In addition to that, ZIM will prioritize the delivery of such containers in the coming weeks, to speed up the arrival of all medical supplies to India.
Eli Glickman, ZIM President & CEO, said: “Zim is taking action in view of the critical importance of these shipments in improving the difficult situation in India. This initiative is part of our Vision & Values in action.
“In this difficult time, I would like to send our best wishes for good health to all our employees in India and their loved ones. We recognize and appreciate your commitment and dedication in the face of extreme hardship. Stay safe and stay strong. We earnestly hope to see better days soon.”~Eli Glickman, ZIM President & CEO
