Spoton inaugurates modern logistics hub in Pune

Spoton Logistics, one of the most agile express logistics companies in India, on Friday announced the inaugural of a major logistics hub with a total area of 120,000 sq feet at Chakan. This modern state-of-the art logistics hub is situated near Pune –Nasik Highway (NH60) and offers access to 38 route vehicles.

Designed to play a major role in Spoton operations in the region, the brand new hub offers storage capacity in excess of 650 tones and cross-docking facilities for simultaneous loading and unloading operations. The hub is equipped with 23 bays, automated Dock Levelers, Forklifts and other modern material handling equipment.

“Located near Chakan, right next to Moshi, the new hub will help provide faster connections from Chakan, Talegoan, Ranjangoan, Hinjewadi, PCMC and other emerging locations nearby, for both inbound and outbound movement,” said Abhik Mitra, CEO, Spoton Logistics.

With Pune swiftly becoming the preferred location for Automobile, Engineering & Industrial, IT, Electrical & Electronics, Pharma & FMCG industries, a number of Automobile, Engineering, Electrical majors have shifted operations to this region, particularly in the Chakan and Talegoan belt. To support their growing needs, several logistics parks are also in the development phase in the vicinity.

“With major warehousing development happening in the region, we foresee exponential growth in our business opportunity and with it rising demand for skilled manpower and excellent employment opportunities for local people, in the near and long term,” Abhik Mitra added.

In the month of April, Spoton had launched their largest ever hub in Changodar near Ahmedabad which is spread over a total area of 1 lakh square feet.

Spoton Logistics had also recently launched Air Express cargo services, significantly reducing Turn Around Time (TAT) for multi-mode, timed deliveries to over 25000 pin codes across India. The company catering to a wide cross-section of industry verticals also has plans to enter the lucrative 3PL market by the end of this fiscal year.
