IKEA India plans to use 100% electric fleet for home deliveries by 2025

The Swedish furniture maker Ikea unveils its plans to use electric vehicles for home deliveries across the country. IKEA India 2025 aims to make a 100-percent switch to electric vehicles for product deliveries.

Speaking in an exclusive interaction with ET Now, Susanne Pulverer, CEO of IKEA India, said that the company is looking for partnerships for large EVs to make deliveries in a move towards sustainability and reduction in carbon emissions.

To meet the Indian customers’ service expectations home delivery has become an important component. Ikea India witnesses 30 percent of its sales coming in from the online market.

With good demand for bedroom and work-related furniture, the company is looking to focus on sourcing its products locally and partnering more with the local industry, to deliver customer satisfaction.

Updating on its upcoming stores, IKEA India said that its plans for two more stores at Gurugram and Noida are also progressing well.
