DHL Express’ investment in India extends beyond infrastructure enhancements to include investments in fleet, aviation capacity, technology, and team development, positioning the company as a market leader in the region. The Delhi Gateway, a critical component of DHL’s network, facilitates seamless connections between North India, East India, and parts of West India to over 220 countries and territories worldwide.

In conjunction with the launch of the new shipment sorting hub, DHL, in collaboration with New York University’s Stern School of Business, also unveiled the DHL Global Connectedness Report 2024 on 13th March. This comprehensive report provides insights into globalization trends, tracking flows of trade, capital, information, and people worldwide. Despite global disruptions, including the COVID-19 pandemic and geopolitical tensions, the report affirms that globalization remains robust, with trade growth forecasted to accelerate in 2024.

The history of DHL’s presence in India is deeply intertwined with innovation and progress. In 2003, DHL Express revolutionized the Indian logistics landscape by establishing the country’s first air-side Express Facility, laying the foundation for robust international connections. Subsequent milestones, including the introduction of dedicated international freighters, further solidified DHL’s position as a catalyst for facilitating trade between India and the world.
