Vipin Vohra Nominated Vice-Chairperson of Services Export Promotion Council

Mr. Vipin Vohra, Chairman, Continental Carriers Pvt. Ltd., has been nominated as Vice-Chairperson of the Services Export Promotion Council (SEPC), an organisation set up by the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, Government of India.

The SEPC plays an important role in promoting India’s services exports and facilitating engagement between service-sector stakeholders and the Government. It provides a platform for addressing industry concerns and supporting initiatives aimed at strengthening India’s position in the global services market.

The nomination recognises Vohra’s longstanding association with the logistics, freight forwarding and customs brokerage sectors, as well as his contribution to the growth and development of India’s services industry.

In his new role, Vohra will work closely with the Council, industry stakeholders and trade forums to identify key issues affecting services exports and take them up with the concerned ministries and government authorities. His focus will include strengthening industry–Government engagement and amplifying the collective voice of service-sector stakeholders.

Vohra also plans to engage with various trade forums and industry associations to gather inputs on sector-specific challenges and priorities. These inputs will help identify critical matters that can be presented to the concerned authorities for consideration and resolution.

The appointment is expected to further strengthen the logistics and freight forwarding industry’s participation in discussions around trade facilitation, customs, logistics and other services-export-related matters, while supporting India’s broader objective of expanding its services exports.
