Techlog Innovate 2024: A Pictorial Recap Unveiling Innovations in Supply Chain

The Techlog Innovate Summit, an international gathering dedicated to advancements in supply chain technology, took place on May 31, 2024, at the Westin Mumbai Garden City. The one-day event brought together industry leaders, experts, and innovators to explore cutting-edge technologies and their transformative impact on supply chain operations.

Inaugural Session

The summit commenced with a warm welcome address by Mr. Tariq Ahmed, Editor and Co-Founder of Logistics Insider. Following this, Dr. Charru Malhotra, the Chief Guest and a distinguished Professor of e-Governance and ICT at the Indian Institute of Public Administration, delivered an insightful keynote address. Dr. Malhotra, a global tech evangelist with over three decades of experience, emphasized the importance of digital transformation in supply chains.

Dr. Jitesh Thakkar, Dean of Academics and Professor at the School of Management, Gati Shakti Vishwavidyalaya, unveiled a groundbreaking whitepaper on the Gati Shakti University, detailing its potential to revolutionize logistics and supply chain education in India. Simultaneously, Mr. Sandeep Chatterjee, CEO and Chairman of ISCEA India, introduced a whitepaper for the International Supply Chain Education Alliance (ISCEA), highlighting their mission to democratize supply chain education globally.

Aiming to be a launchpad for innovation, collaboration, and transformation, the summit featured three thought-provoking panel discussions:

Panel 1: Strategies for Harnessing Emerging Technologies in Supply Chain Operations

Moderated by Mr. Satish Lakkaraju, Global Head of Air Freight and Pharma at WIZ, this panel included industry stalwarts such as:

  • Mr. Saurabh Kumar, Chief Executive Officer of Retail and Real Estate at Kaleesuwari Refinery Private Limited,.

The discussion focused on the intersection of sustainability goals with tech innovations like IoT and AI, emphasizing the business case for investing in sustainable technology and strategies for building collaborative partnerships.

Panel 3: Enhancing Logistics Service Providers through User Perspectives on Tech Adoption

Moderated by Lt. Colonel Vijay Nair, Founder and Consultant at Oraculi and Dux, this panel included:

  • Mr. Rachit Rungta, Head of Supply Chain Strategy and Network Planning at Reliance Retail.
  • Mr. Amartya Kumar Guha, Vice President of Supply Chain at SUGAR Cosmetics.

A fireside session titled “Streamlining Global Supply Chains: Innovations in EXIM Operations Through Technology” featured:

  • Mr. Sriram Ganesh Sastrigal, Head of Business Operations, APAC Cluster at Shabosh.

This session offered in-depth insights into how technology is revolutionizing export-import operations and streamlining global supply chains.

Supply Chain Mavericks

The “Supply Chain Mavericks” challenge celebrated innovative supply chain tech startups. Amongst the three ground-breaking start-ups, OZU Logistics Marketplace Pvt Ltd., Intemo Technologies Pvt Ltd., and 24th Mile, vying for the title of “supply chain maverick,”  Mr. Paramvir Singh Maniktala, CEO of OZU Logistics Marketplace Pvt Ltd., emerged as the winner, showcasing groundbreaking solutions that impressed the jury, which included Mr. Satish Lakkaraju, Dr. Pramod Sant, and Mr. Saurabh Kumar.
