Tata Boeing Aerospace Rolls Out 400th Apache Fuselage, Strengthening India’s Role in Global Aerospace Supply Chains

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited (TBAL), the joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited (TASL), has rolled out its 400th fuselage for the AH-64E Apache attack helicopter from its 52,000 sq. m. aerospace manufacturing facility in Hyderabad.

The fuselages are manufactured in India and integrated into final Apache aircraft supplied to customers worldwide, including the U.S. Army and the Indian Army, which received six Apaches in 2025. The Indian Air Force operates a fleet of 22 AH-64E Apaches.

Established in 2016, TBAL employs more than 750 engineers and technicians at its Hyderabad facility. The team uses advanced robotics, automation and aerospace manufacturing technologies to produce fuselage aerostructures for the Apache programme.

The 400th-fuselage milestone highlights the increasing maturity of India’s aerospace manufacturing capabilities and its growing integration into global defence supply chains. It also underscores the country’s expanding role in the production of critical aerostructures for globally deployed defence platforms.

With approximately 1,300 Apache aircraft currently operating across 19 countries, TBAL’s latest milestone reinforces India’s position as an important manufacturing base supporting one of the world’s most widely deployed attack helicopter platforms.
