In the nation’s fight against the coronavirus pandemic, the multinational conglomerate Reliance Industries is preparing and has assured to do its bit when the COVID-19 vaccine will be available for the masses.
Nita Ambani, Chairperson and Founder of Reliance Foundation, while speaking at the 43rd annual general meeting yesterday, announced that the company will voluntarily step forward for the digital distribution and supply chain of the COVID-19 vaccine, once it is made available for masses.
Further, she added, Reliance will ensure that vaccines will reach each and every part of the country.
Meanwhile, Microsoft co-founder and philanthropist Bill Gates believe that India’s pharmaceutical industry will be able to produce COVID-19 vaccine not just for the country but also for the entire world.
Apart from speaking about the vaccine, Mrs Ambani also highlighted that the war against the deadly COVID-19 is a long one, and therefore the company is looking forward to partner with the government as well as local municipalities to ramp up Coronavirus testing in India.
“The mega-scale testing for Coronavirus across the country will be done with the help of Jio’s digital infrastructure. It’s our duty, ‘dharma’ and ‘seva’ to serve the nation.”
