NLP perquisites discussed at ACAAI Symposium in Delhi

The Air Cargo Agents Association of India (ACAAI) organised a symposium in Delhi, succeeding the recent launch of the National Logistics Policy 2022. The symposium was themed on ‘New Logistics Policy – Embracing Opportunities‘ and was a means to bring together representatives of the government, members of ACAAI and the air cargo fraternity in general, under one roof, to understand and discuss the opportunities the new policy will usher for the industry.

Amrit Lal Meena (IAS), Special Secretary – Logistics, Dept of Commerce, MoCI graced the event as the Chief Guest and also made the key address of the event. During his address to the audience, Mr. Meena provided meticulous information about what the NLP is and how it will work in favour of the Indian freight forwarders’ community, air cargo community, and the entire logistics sector in general. Followed by his presentation, he also took audience questions, which further helped to understand specific issues of the industry stakeholders.

It was announced during the event that ACAAI will be organising its 46th Annual Convention in Bangkok, Thailand from 24-27 November, 2022. The members of ACAAI will be meeting after a COVID induced gap of 2 years, to continue the tradition of the Annual Convention. The theme of the convention has been set as ‘Resilient Air Cargo Industry – Post Pandemic’.

Mr. Meena, along with Mr. Afzal Malbarwala, (President, ACAAI), Mr. C.K. Govil (Vice-President, ACAAI) and Praveen Menon (Treasurer, ACAAI) also unveiled ACAAI’s revamped website during the symposium.
