MapmyIndia on Tuesday announced the integration of its Mappls app with the government’s Unified Logistics Interface Platform (ULIP).
The logistics solution by MapmyIndia will make the movement of goods and people across the country faster and cheaper, said Rohan Verma, chief executive of MapmyIndia adding that “It will help the logistics ecosystem easily track the movement of their goods on detailed pan-India maps and get expected time of arrival information.”
The company said in a statement, that on the Mappls app, one can take the help of multi-modal route optimisation and navigation tools, and Application Programming Interfaces for long-haul and last-mile travel
Some of the features of the application include route and journey scoring, and risk assessment tools based on safety hazards, costs and suitability for the vehicle type that generates optimal route plans and alerts for drivers.
Among other features, the application includes mGIS geospatial software for planning and analysing urban and rural logistics infrastructure and connectivity in 2D and 3D, drone-based mapping and maintenance inspection of infrastructure and progress monitoring of construction, GPS and NavIC Internet of Things (IoT) for goods movement tracking, fleet and field workforce and asset management.
Navigation-enabled connected vehicles, ADAS and autonomous safety, shared and electric mobility platforms for vehicle Original Equipment Manufacturers are some other features of the app.
