Avana Logistek Ltd, the freight forwarding arm of Transworld Group along with Kandla International Container Terminal Limited (KICT) jointly created a new milestone by recently loading on the vessel SSL Brahmaputra to its full capacity from a single terminal for the first time.
The subject vessel, MV. SSL Brahmaputra 065, built in 2003, sailed from the terminal with a total exchange of 3918 TEUs (Discharge: 2210 TEUs, Load: 1708 TEUs) on 29th July, 2020.
The container ship SSL Brahmaputra sailing under the flag of India is reported to be 260.1 meter in length and 32.35 meters in width.
Speaking on the new achievement a communique from Avana Logistek said, “It’s a result of joint efforts and teamwork. We express sincere gratitude to KICT for excellent support and cooperation. This is the first time SSL Brahmaputra loaded to full capacity from one terminal. We are sure we along with KICT will continue to create such sterling performances in the coming days too.”
The Kandla International Container Terminal Limited (KICT) which serves as a critical gateway port for the western and northwestern hinterland of India on international trade routes to the Middle East and Upper Gulf aims to improve service, faster delivery of goods and lower transactional costs. It further aims to attract more traffic and reach an optimum capacity of 6,00,000 TEUs per annum.
