IPA bags 3 national awards for digital transformations at the World Logistics Awards 2020

Indian Ports Association (IPA), an apex body of Major Ports under the administration of the Shipping Ministry bagged three national Awards in the recently held World Logistics Awards 2020 on October 14th .

IPA,in the virtual event, was awarded with the Excellence in Logistic & Supply Chain and Excellence in Public Sector Unit under categories for Best E-Governance Implementation, Best-in-Class IT system Provider and Best IT project of the Year, all for PCS1x.

IPA has been one of the frontrunners in bringing digitalisation in the maritime industry. Bringing in the digital revolution via the Indian PCS 1x in 2018 and constantly looking to improve and enhancing functionalities – features for the maritime stakeholders, embracing new technologies such as Blockchain, building APIs for information exchange, empowering digital platforms have been few of the initiatives taken by IPA in order to facilitate the trade.

It is now in the midst of growing the PCS 1x into the National Logistics Portal, a national maritime single window encompassing complete end-to-end logistic solution.

In celebrating such a moment of pride for the entire IPA team, Dr. A. Janardhana Rao, MD, Indian Ports Association (IPA) delivered his words of gratitude on bagging three national awards for PCS1x virtually.

PCS 1x is a platform accessible for stakeholders anywhere, anytime for sharing data and information which is passed on a real-time basis by integrating with various stakeholder systems bringing speed, transparency and efficiency leading to reduction in errors, faster processing times therefore contributing to ease of doing business, Make in India, Digital India and green initiatives.
