Deemed to provide a major boost to connectivity in major industrial clusters across the nation, the ambitious INR 100 lakh crore Gati Shakti Master Plan is yet to be unveiled.
Announced by PM Modi in his Independence Day speech, the plan was anticipated to be a major employment and logistics booster, at a time when the entire nation is reeling under the brutal blow of the pandemic.
However, the industry is yet to receive the blueprint of the ambitious project, which has not been unveiled yet.
With September almost nearing it’s end, the logistics and supply chain industry continues to wait in anticipation with regards to further development on this project.
The Prime Minister, in his speech, had cited the need to adopt a holistic approach in creating modern infrastructure while unveiling the Gati Shakti Master Plan.
The plan is aimed at making Indian products more competitive by cutting down the logistics costs and improving the supply chains.
The plan is expected to incorporate existing projects of different ministries, according to a report. This may likely include food processing, IT parks, pharmaceutical, fishing clusters, etc.
