India’s first B2B Trade Exhibition for Dry Fruits MEWA 2024 commenced with grandeur in Delhi

MEWA 2024, India’s first-of-its-kind two-day exposition begins today. The inauguration of the Trade show was done by Sh. Om Birla, Hon’ble Lok Sabha speaker. The inaugural day of MEWA 2024 unfolded an array of vibrant showcases, spotlighting the richness and potential of India’s burgeoning Nut & Dry Fruits market. The event commenced with a captivating Panel Discussion and Culinary Show, offering a tantalizing glimpse into the diverse flavors of India’s nut and dry fruit offerings.

Addressing the exhibitors during the inauguration of the trade show Sh. Om Birla commended the efforts of the Nuts and Dry Fruits Council of India (NDFCI) and underscored the transformative role of platforms like MEWA 2024 in fostering the growth and consolidation of the sector. He emphasized the urgent need to bolster the production of nuts and dry fruits in India, noting that the sector employs over 10 lakh individuals. He urged associations like the NDFCI to increase the interaction with the farmer groups to explore the possibility of cultivating nuts & dry fruits per the various Indian state’s diverse climate conditions.

Delving into the heart of industry insights, MEWA 2024 hosted power-packed knowledge sessions focusing on the key players in the market, including Pistachios, Almonds, Dates, Raisins, and Walnuts. Esteemed panels engaged in dynamic discussions, unraveling global market dynamics, consumer trends, and sustainable practices shaping the industry’s landscape.
