IICS brings together the cargo and logistics industry under one roof

Upstream Business Solutions recently concluded the 3-day exhibition – India International Cargo Show 2022 (powered by Allcargo Group) in Mumbai on 2nd December. IICS brought together air-ocean-surface logistics under one roof and furnished a platform for leaders to discuss business and deliberate growth opportunities. The event witnessed 80+ exhibiting brands, 50+ speakers across 7 sessions and 10k+ visitors including shippers, consignees, manufacturers, exporters, importers and logisticians.

The show was inaugurated by the Honourable Minister of Industries, Shir Uday Samant, Government of Maharashtra along with Mr. Shashi Kiran Shetty (Founder and Chairman, Allcargo Group). Other dignitaries joining the inauguration were Mr. Shankar Shinde (Chairman, Federation of Freight Forwarders’ Associations in India), Mr. Afzal Malbarwala (President, Air Cargo Agents Association of India), Mr. Xerrxes Master (President, Association of Multimodal Transport Operators Of India), and Mr. Mohit Mewani (Partner and CEO, Upstream Business Solutions).

The IICS Show 2022 came at an apt moment as the Indian Logistics Industry is poised to take India’s economy on the next trajectory. From rebalancing priorities to exploring newer geographies, cargo and logistics leaders are thinking bigger and broader as they gear up to deal with an increasingly agile and volatile demand.

The IICS Exhibition was optimal for business leaders to discuss integrated movement of goods and get a head start on their business plan for 2023. More than 10,000 visitors across various industries such as pharma, automobile, textile, perishables, chemicals, petroleum, FMGC, project etc. joined this exhibition to meet the who’s who of the Indian cargo and logistics industry, discover the latest trends and gather insights from the community. Trade visitors could also network with service providers outside their partner profile, giving them a unique opportunity to explore additional channels for the movement of their goods.

The exhibition was supported by a concurrent conference where senior industry leaders shared their thought leadership on the growth and development of the Indian Ocean Cargo and Air Cargo Ecosystem. Industry stalwarts and senior leaders from leading companies like FIATA, Brihanmumbai Custom Brokers Association, Turkish Airlines, Emirates Airline, UltraTech Cement, Grasim Industries, Mumbai International Airport, EKF Global Logistics, Asian Paints, Alkem Laboratories, Blue Dart, GMR Group, Flipkart, Sennheiser Electronics, Delhivery, Ericsson Global and many more shared their thought leadership at the IICS Conference.
