Living up to their value of ‘We Care’, Hapag-Lloyd strive to make it convenient for their clients to do business with them. In order to fulfil their commitment towards simplifying supply chains, from September 13, 2022, Hapag-Lloyd has discontinued the requirement of placing a ‘Container Security Deposit’ for issuance of Import Delivery Documents in India, with the following advantages:

  • Ease of doing business
  • Save Cost with Zero Deposit
  • Less customer effort for cargo delivery

Through this initiative, they aim to facilitate faster container discharges and offer increased flexibility with cash flow, thereby, reducing service dependencies. The above does not mean that they will be changing the process, rather customers can continue placing requests for their Delivery Orders with remaining terms and conditions.
