The Greater Noida Authority, in its 141st board meeting on Saturday, cleared key mobility proposals that finalise the alignments for the upcoming Multimodal Transport Hub (MMTH) and Multimodal Logistics Hub (MMLH). The plans were approved under the chairmanship of infrastructure and industrial development commissioner and Noida–Greater Noida Authority chairman Deepak Kumar, with additional chief secretary Alok Kumar in attendance.
With this approval, both projects will now be incorporated into Greater Noida’s Master Plan 2041, which will outline their full development framework.
Officials confirmed that a 1.8-kilometre elevated metro link will connect the Greater Noida Depot to the MMTH along the 105-metre road, strengthening last-mile connectivity. The MMLH at Bodaki will be connected to the Dedicated Freight Corridor through a new railway line linking it to New Dadri station, enabling seamless freight movement between Mumbai and Kolkata.
“These two major projects have moved into the next stage. Their inclusion in the Master Plan 2041 clears the way for linking the transport hub to the metro network and the logistics hub to the railway line,” said Greater Noida Authority CEO Ravi Kumar NG.
He added that Greater Noida is developing three major projects—the Integrated Industrial Township, the Multimodal Transport Hub and the Multimodal Logistics Hub—in partnership with the National Industrial Corridor Corporation. Several companies have already begun operations in the Integrated Industrial Township. The newly approved railway alignment for the logistics hub, he said, will ease industrial cargo movement along the Mumbai–Kolkata route.
The board has also approved including the metro alignment in the Master Plan. The elevated corridor, planned along the 105-metre road, will run for about 1.8 km from the Greater Noida Depot to the MMTH.
