Hyderabad-based Garudavega, a brand of NexGen Logistics Pvt. Ltd., has acquired cross-border shopping platform YourDesiCart in a move aimed at strengthening its position in international e-commerce logistics and expanding access to Indian products for overseas customers.
The deal brings together Garudavega’s logistics network with YourDesiCart’s digital platform, which enables non-resident Indians (NRIs) and global buyers to purchase goods from Indian online and offline retailers and have them shipped abroad. The combined entity is expected to enhance delivery timelines, improve operational efficiency, and lower shipping costs for cross-border consumers.
Founded in 2020, YourDesiCart has built a user base of over 90,000 customers and facilitates deliveries to more than 220 countries. Its model allows users to consolidate purchases through locker addresses in India before shipping them internationally, reducing costs and simplifying logistics.
Following the acquisition, YourDesiCart will operate as a Garudavega-powered service, integrating its assisted shopping and parcel-forwarding capabilities with Garudavega’s global partnerships and logistics infrastructure.
“YourDesiCart has built a highly relevant solution for customers seeking seamless access to Indian products globally. This acquisition allows us to move beyond logistics and deliver a more integrated cross-border commerce experience,” said Satish Lakkaraju, CEO of NexGen Logistics.
“Our mission has always been to simplify global access to Indian products. With Garudavega’s scale and logistics strength, we can accelerate growth and deliver an even smoother India-to-world shopping experience,” said Satya Ayyagari, Founder of YourDesiCart.
YourDesiCart, currently operating from Hyderabad, is expected to expand into multiple Indian cities as part of the integration plan. The companies also indicated that the combined platform could create new opportunities for Indian sellers to access global markets more efficiently.
The acquisition reflects a broader trend in logistics, where companies are moving up the value chain to offer end-to-end cross-border commerce solutions rather than just transportation services.
