During this year’s G20 Summit in Osaka, Modi and Trump decided to reduce the increasing differences and trade tussle which ended with no major progress. Besides, a meeting was planned between Commerce Minister Piyush Goyal and US Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer by the end of August.
Apart from the trade tariff conflict, the bilateral meeting between PM Modi and the US President will focus on the Kashmir issue. Trump previously, expressed his desire to ‘mediate’ the issue of Kashmir twice within a month.
