Freightos Limited, has joined the IATA Digitalization Leadership Charter, reinforcing its commitment to advancing interoperable digital connectivity across the global air cargo ecosystem.
As digital adoption accelerates across global freight, the need for seamless interoperability and real-time data exchange between carriers, freight forwarders, shippers and technology platforms is becoming critical to improving supply chain efficiency.
The Charter outlines five key industry priorities: advancing global data standards and interoperability; strengthening cybersecurity and digital resilience; enabling sustainable, paperless cargo operations; driving innovation through automation; and promoting responsible adoption of emerging technologies, including AI.
Pablo Pinillos, CEO and Interim CFO of Freightos, said real-time connectivity and standardised data exchange are increasingly central to global freight operations. He noted that industry-wide collaboration and common standards are essential to reducing integration challenges and enabling efficient connectivity across stakeholders, ultimately supporting a more agile and resilient logistics ecosystem.
Jonathan Parkinson, Head of Cargo Digitalization at IATA, welcomed Freightos to the initiative, highlighting the importance of collaboration across the air cargo value chain to accelerate digital transformation and drive adoption of standards such as ONE Record.
As the industry moves toward universal data standards, Freightos continues to position itself as an enabler of open digital infrastructure to support the next phase of global logistics evolution.
