FFFAI will play a more effective role in the growth of EXIM trade & Logistics sector, says AV Vijaykumar, Chairman, FFFAI

Mr Vijaykumar elected as Chairman of FFFAI for 2019-21

Federation of Freight Forwarders Associations in India (FFFAI) elected new Office Bearers of the Executive Committee for the period of 2019-2021 in its 56th Annual General Meeting (AGM) held in Chennai.        

Mr AV Vijaykumar, who earlier was Chairman-elect, has taken over as Chairman of FFFAI and Mr Shankar Shinde has been elected as Chairman-elect for the ensuing two years.       

The new Chairman, Mr Vijaykumar, made it clear that in the days to come FFFAI would play a more effective and key role in the growth of EXIM trade as well as logistics sector in the country, through collective initiatives.   

Mr PS Atree, Mr Rajesh Verma and Mr Sudip Dey have been re-elected as Vice-Chairmen while Mr Vinod Sharma, Mr Alan Jose and Mr Mandava Satyanarayana have become the newly elected Vice Chairmen of the Federation. Mr Dushyant Mulani and Mr Sudhir Agarwal have been elected unopposed Honorary Secretary and Honorary Treasurer respectively.

Prior to the AGM, FFFAI held it 13th Executive Committee meeting in which new business avenues were discussed which included opportunities in agri-logistics for domestic and international markets.  Also, the meet emphasized on Skill Development initiatives in association with the government.

Mr S Ramakrishna, the outgoing Chairman, FFFAI expressed his gratitude to all Office Bearers, EC Members and all Member Associations to make his brief tenure very successful. He emphasised on the recognition to FFFAI from various Ministries of the Government of India, Chambers of Commerce and Trade Bodies at national and international level.

He also underlined the importance of developing second line leadership in the Federation to make CHA/ Customs Broking/ Freight Forwarding/Logistics profession lucrative with full of pride.
