Export Leaders Get First-Hand Look at AISATS’ Cargo Infrastructure at Noida International Airport

A delegation of export and logistics leaders today visited the AISATS Cargo Terminal at Noida International Airport as part of the Export Leaders’ Delegation, organised by Logistics Insider in association with Air India SATS (AISATS).

The delegation brought together senior representatives from numerous companies, spanning industries to gain a closer understanding of the cargo infrastructure being developed at Noida International Airport and its potential role in supporting the region’s growing export ecosystem.

The delegation included senior representatives from Dell, Uflex, Mother Dairy, Samsung Sleep well and more.

The visit was designed to move the conversation around export logistics beyond the boardroom, giving participating companies an opportunity to engage directly with logistics and cargo infrastructure stakeholders and experience the AISATS facility first-hand.

From industry conversations to the cargo terminal

The programme began at Hotel ExpoInn Suites & Convention, Greater Noida, where delegates were welcomed by Logistics Insider, followed by a brief presentation on the AISATS Noida Integrated Cargo Terminal, providing delegates with an overview of the facility and its role within the emerging airport ecosystem.

The programme also featured presentations from the delegation’s industry partners. Jeena & Co., the freight forwarding partner, showed its corporate presentation, sharing perspective on the evolving demands of specialised and time-critical logistics, highlighting its capabilities in healthcare and pharmaceutical cold chain, critical medical shipments, automotive logistics and digitalised freight operations. The company also underlined its focus on extending compliant cold-chain infrastructure beyond metros and adopting technology-led visibility across shipments. While Netradyne, the technology partner, presented its perspective on using AI and fleet intelligence to strengthen road and airport safety, improve driver behaviour and enhance operational visibility. The company highlighted data-driven driver scoring, real-time drowsiness and distraction detection, and the role of predictive safety technology in reducing operational risks across complex logistics networks.

The morning session culminated in a speed networking interaction, allowing delegates to exchange perspectives and explore potential business and industry linkages.

A first-hand look at AISATS’ cargo infrastructure

The delegation subsequently travelled to Noida International Airport, arriving at the AISATS Cargo Terminal around midday.

AISATS hosted the delegation for the remainder of the programme, beginning with a presentation on its facility and its plans for enabling exports from Noida International Airport.

Spanning over an 87-acre footprint, the facility is designed as India’s largest integrated logistics gateway, bringing together air, road and rail cargo ecosystems. The first phase of the integrated cargo terminal has an annual capacity of 2.55 lakh metric tonnes, positioning it as a major cargo and logistics hub for North India. The facility spans approximately 22,000 sq. m. of warehouse space and includes two dedicated freighter bays, alongside dedicated domestic, international and express-cargo terminals. It is supported by 19 truck docks, nine X-ray machines and digital cargo-management systems, while direct truck access through the Yamuna Expressway is designed to facilitate seamless cargo movement to and from the terminal.

For exporters and supply chain leaders, one of the most significant aspects of the visit was the opportunity to see how cargo is expected to move through the facility and understand the infrastructure and processes being put in place.

The delegation then undertook a guided tour of the AISATS air cargo facility.

The facility visit was followed by an interactive Q&A session with the AISATS leadership team, allowing delegates to raise questions around the operationalisation of the terminal, export processes, connectivity, cargo handling and the role the facility could play in supporting businesses in the wider National Capital Region.

What exporters want from the new cargo gateway

A key objective of the delegation was to bring exporters directly into the conversation around the emerging air cargo ecosystem at Noida International Airport.

For businesses looking to serve international markets, the value of new airport infrastructure will ultimately depend not only on terminal capacity but also on factors such as connectivity, frequency of international services, cargo handling efficiency, customs processes, multimodal connectivity, cold-chain capabilities, technology integration and the ability of the wider logistics ecosystem to provide reliable end-to-end movement.

The participation of companies from Technology, Perishables, FMCD etc also offered an early indication of the kinds of cargo and export requirements that the new airport will need to serve.

Bridging exporters with the logistics ecosystem

The delegation also highlighted the importance of closer interaction between cargo infrastructure providers, freight forwarders, technology companies and shippers.

While the AISATS facility represents the physical infrastructure required to handle cargo, exporters will rely on an interconnected ecosystem of freight forwarders, customs and regulatory stakeholders, airlines, ground handling providers, technology platforms and surface transportation networks to make the airport a viable export gateway.

In this context, the participation of Jeena & Co. as the freight forwarding partner and Netradyne as the technology partner added two important dimensions to the discussion.

The interaction also gave delegates an opportunity to discuss the practical challenges involved in moving cargo from manufacturing and sourcing locations to the airport and onward to international markets.

The road ahead for Noida’s export ecosystem

Noida International Airport is emerging at a time when India is seeking to expand its participation in global trade and strengthen the infrastructure supporting exporters.

For companies located across the Delhi-NCR region and neighbouring manufacturing and industrial clusters, the development of a dedicated air cargo ecosystem at the new airport could potentially create another gateway for time-sensitive and high-value exports.

However, the effectiveness of that gateway will ultimately be determined by how seamlessly infrastructure, airline connectivity, freight forwarding, surface logistics, technology and regulatory processes come together.

The Export Leaders’ Delegation provided an opportunity for some of the region’s industry stakeholders to begin that conversation directly with AISATS.

As Noida International Airport moves towards its next phase of operations, continued engagement between the airport cargo ecosystem and the businesses that will use it will be critical in determining how effectively the new infrastructure can translate into faster, more reliable and more competitive export flows.
