Emir Pineda from MIA joins TIACA Board

Emir Pineda, Trade & Logistics Manager for the Marketing Division of the Miami-Dade Aviation Department, which operates Miami International Airport (MIA), has been elected to the Board of The International Air Cargo Association (TIACA).

Pineda started his career as an intern at MIA in 1988 before embarking on a career that has seen him work in senior business development roles for cargo trade at both Dallas Fort Worth (DFW) Airport and Air France/KLM Martinair Cargo.

He also served as the Commercial Route Development Manager for Cargolux, responsible for sales and operations throughout Latin America.

“It is an honour to have been selected to be a member of the Board of TIACA, the only organization that truly represents the entire cargo supply chain,” said Pineda.

“For my tenure I would like to continue to pivot the association towards innovation, thus adding value to our members and the entire global logistics industry.

“In addition, I hope to attract greater focus and participation from Latin America, which has historically been underrepresented in the association.”

Pineda joins in the run up to ACF, which will bring together thousands of airfreight decision makers and supply chain operators from across the globe.
