Ekart, the supply chain arm of the Flipkart Group, has opened its pan-India logistics network to businesses across the country, enabling MSMEs, direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands, FMCG companies, and enterprises to access the same logistics infrastructure that supports the Flipkart ecosystem.
The expansion is being driven through the launch of a new franchise model and enhanced dedicated warehousing capabilities, allowing businesses of all sizes to leverage Ekart’s nationwide fulfilment network, advanced technology, and delivery infrastructure to scale operations and improve customer reach.
The move comes as e-commerce players increasingly open their logistics infrastructure to external businesses. In May, Amazon announced that it would make its logistics network available to third-party businesses, expanding beyond its own marketplace in a strategy seen as a direct challenge to global parcel delivery giants such as UPS and FedEx. Ekart’s latest expansion reflects a similar trend in India, where logistics networks built for large e-commerce platforms are increasingly being monetised as standalone services.
Franchise Network to Expand National Reach
Under the new franchise model, MSMEs and small businesses can connect to Ekart’s nationwide delivery network without investing in their own logistics infrastructure. The network has launched with more than 300 franchise outlets across Surat, Mumbai, Delhi, and Bengaluru and is expected to grow to over 1,000 outlets by the end of 2026.
Franchise partners will gain access to Ekart’s technology platform, including real-time shipment tracking, AI-powered address resolution, and the company’s established nationwide delivery network.
Dedicated Warehousing for End-to-End Fulfilment
Ekart has also opened more than one million square feet of dedicated warehousing space for brands seeking end-to-end fulfilment solutions. Additional capacity is being added across Delhi-NCR, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai to support growing customer demand.
The warehousing network is designed to shorten delivery timelines by positioning inventory closer to consumers, while AI-powered demand forecasting enables brands to optimise inventory allocation and improve stock planning across regions.
For B2B customers, Ekart operates a dedicated hub network for bulk and consolidated freight movement, serving industries such as automotive, engineering goods, FMCG, and retail. The company also offers value-added services, including Open Box Delivery, allowing customers to verify products upon delivery, and Any Day Delivery, which provides greater flexibility in delivery scheduling.
Mani Bhushan, Chief Business Officer, Ekart, said, “Over the past few years, thousands of retail, MSME, D2C and global brands have trusted Ekart’s logistics network and technology to reliably scale their businesses across India. Building on that experience, we are now expanding access to our network through our franchise model and dedicated end-to-end fulfilment capabilities. This reflects our confidence in India’s commercial opportunity and the Flipkart Group’s long-term commitment to building the infrastructure that Indian businesses need to compete and grow. We believe every business, regardless of size, deserves access to a national market, and this expansion is designed to make that possible.”
Ekart currently serves more than 95% of India’s pincodes across over 80 product categories. With the latest expansion, the company aims to provide businesses of all sizes with broader access to one of India’s largest logistics networks, helping them improve operational efficiency, accelerate growth, and reach customers nationwide.
