DSV announces strategic leadership transition

In line with its long-term succession planning, DSV has officially announced significant changes to its executive leadership, effective February 1, 2024.

In a strategic move, Jens H. Lund, currently serving as Group COO and Vice CEO, will take on the position of Group CEO, succeeding Jens Bjørn Andersen, who has served as the head of DSV for over 15 years.

Brian Ejsing, with a remarkable career spanning since 1986 at DSV, has been appointed as the new Group COO, joining the Executive Board. Brian has held key managerial roles globally in both the Road and Solutions divisions and has been instrumental in the growth and integration of acquired companies. He has served as CEO of DSV Solutions and has been a member of the Group Executive Committee since 2012.

Thomas Plenborg, Chairman of the Board of Directors of DSV A/S, commented on the transition: “Jens Bjørn Andersen has delivered incredible results and significant value for our shareholders since 2008, and on behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to take the opportunity to, once again, thank Jens Bjørn for his contribution over the years. I also welcome Jens Lund as our new Group CEO. Jens has an innovative mindset and deep knowledge of our industry, and I am confident that Jens and the team around him will drive DSV’s continued journey.”

The newly configured Executive Board, effective February 1, 2024, comprises Group CEO Jens H. Lund, Group COO Brian Ejsing, and Group CFO Michael Ebbe.

Changes to the Group Executive Committee:

Solutions Division:

Albert-Derk Bruin is appointed the new CEO, of DSV Solutions, effective February 1, 2024. Albert-Derk, previously EVP of Business Strategy, Excellence, and Change Management in the Solutions division, joined DSV in 2010.

Global Commercial Organisation:

Morten Landry is appointed the new Group CCO, effective February 1, 2024. Morten, with over 20 years at vDSV, previously served as Managing Director, Air & Sea United Kingdom and Ireland.

Air & Sea Division:

Effective May 1, 2024, Carsten Trolle, CEO, of DSV Air & Sea, will step down after more than 39 years with DSV. Frank Sobotka is appointed the new CEO, of DSV Air & Sea, with 14 years of experience at DSV.

I also sincerely thank Rene; his significant contribution to DSV during the past many years has played an important part in the development of our commercial organization and commercial support systems.”

In line with these changes, the divisional management teams will be expanded with a COO position, reinforcing DSV’s commitment to long-term succession planning and utilizing the strong talent pool within the organization.
