To accelerate its door-to-door express services, Om Logistics is expanding its warehousing presence. The company has inaugurated its warehouse in Dabaspet, Bengaluru. Spread across 41,000 sq ft the warehouse which was inaugurated on Friday, 9 December 2022 is strategically developed to meet the increased business demands. Many of the company’s regional key customers are located in the Dabaspet Industrial Area and operate from there.
At present, Om Logistics handles 800 to 1000 tonnes of cargo per day which is expected to be 1500 tonnes shortly.
In terms of transportation advancements, om logistics can load and unload nearly 50 trucks at the same time. Here, the company has developed a spacious parking lot as well as rooms for the drivers to rest and stay in.
Moreover, the company has also developed an office in Dabaspet itself, where proper arrangements have been made for the employees to work, currently, a large operation team is handling all the documentation work there.
Mr. Raghav Singhal, Director, Om Logistics said, “The construction of Om Logistics warehouse at Dabaspet was pending for a long time and it was also the need of the hour considering the increasing commercial potential. We see the Dabaspet add-on as a great benefit for the future.”
Keeping in mind the increasing pollution within cities, the company has strategically located the warehouse on the Bangalore National Highway (Hosur-Airport Road) on the outskirts of the city and is very well connected to the Dabaspet Railway Station, so that there is less movement within the city.
A mini ICD is likely to be set up here in the future and being an important industrial site attached to KIADB (Karnataka Industrial Area Development Board) it is of great importance to the organization from a business perspective.
The company is actively working towards environmental issues and has a policy of developing a private nursery wherever the warehouses are located. The same has been implemented in the Dabaspet warehouse and efforts have been made to keep the surrounding environment green. The company believes that the Dabaspet warehouse will prove to be a fruitful decision for the company in the future and the company’s door-to-door express services will also get benefitted from this warehouse expansion.
