In order to make Gatishakti successful for “Atmanirbhar Bharat”, world-class warehousing in India is of paramount importance. The Warehousing Association of India (WAI) and Chamber of Visionary Supply Chain Leaders (CVSCL) signed an MoU on 25th March 2022, in New Delhi with the mission to promote the interest of the Warehousing Industry in India. WAI’s members comprise mainly developers and operators of warehouses, as well as those stake holders that are associated with the Warehousing Industry, while CVSCL is made up of corporate users of warehouses in all categories from across the country. With this MoU, the entire ecosystem of the Warehousing Industry will be complete.
With the signing of this MoU we have paved the way for deep partnership and collaboration among all the stake holders of the warehousing industry. Dissemination of knowledge by the supply chain experts of CVSCL will bring great value and learnings to the industry. In addition, the CVSCL members will make a huge contribution to the effort of standardisation of warehousing infrastructure and related assets.”

With this MoU, WAI is aiming at collaborating with the entire warehousing value chain of users, developers, and operators. The key objective of this collaboration will help in Government advocacy, infrastructure set up , networking, advisory & information, and dissemination of new initiatives & launches.

The chief mandates of WAI are to promote development of international quality warehouses, standardisation, automation, and modernisation of warehouses in India to help reduce the logistics costs – by improving productivity, skilling manpower, automation and creating greater efficacy in the warehousing industry. WAI aims to be the nodal body for warehousing industry of India.
