Apollo supply chain unveils ‘alfa’, an e-commerce fulfillment solution for D2C brands

Apollo Supply Chain, the logistics services arm of the Apollo group, has recently launched a new comprehensive e-commerce fulfillment and shipping service named “alfa” for direct-to-consumer (D2C) brands. The service is strategically positioned with fulfillment centers in key cities such as Delhi NCR, Kolkata, Guwahati, Bengaluru, Chennai, and Hyderabad, aiming to reduce logistics costs and improve delivery speed.

With the surge in D2C companies in India’s consumer commerce sector, expected to reach a potential value of USD 60 billion by 2027, Akshat Pushp, Chief Business Officer at Apollo Supply Chain, expressed the company’s commitment to being part of India’s D2C success story through tailored supply chain solutions provided by alfa.

The alfa service specializes in e-commerce fulfillment and shipping, catering to a diverse clientele, including D2C brands in various stages of growth (early, venture-funded, and late) and traditional brands seeking PAN India or multi-region distribution. The company plans to expand its network to enhance logistics services further.

To address issues faced by D2C brands in e-commerce fulfillment, alfa focuses on key pain points, providing a seamless experience for customers. One major challenge highlighted by Apollo Supply Chain is the limited control over fulfillment centers often outsourced to third-party providers, resulting in frequent breaches of order processing service level agreements (SLAs).

Apollo Supply Chain’s alfa service aims to transform e-commerce fulfillment by offering tailored solutions, enhancing cost efficiency, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The company plans to expand its network to provide even more efficient logistics services in response to the growing demand in the D2C sector.
