The Noida International Airport is set to have the country’s largest multimodal cargo hub by 2024, sources have revealed.
As informed by the airport, AISATS, which was selected by the Yamuna International Airport Private Limited (YIAPL) to design, build, finance, and operate the project, has commenced the work to build the integrated multimodal cargo hub at Noida International Airport.
The first phase of the cargo terminal will see an investment of Rs 1,200 crore, out of which Rs 456 crore has already been invested so far, a senior official from the state government indicated. He added, “The company is aiming to complete this multimodal cargo hub in time for the opening of Noida International Airport.”
The cargo terminal is currently under construction on 80 acres, which is the largest in the country so far. This state-of-the-art multimodal cargo hub, blending tradition and modernity, promises to provide smart, seamless, scalable, and secure solutions to the Indian air cargo and logistics supply chain sector, officials said.
“Noida International Airport and cargo hub would bolster UP’s journey towards becoming a one trillion-dollar economy. The UP government under the leadership of CM Yogi Adityanath was working to make the state a one trillion-dollar economy. The efforts have significantly boosted with the cutting-edge multimodal cargo hub at Noida International Airport in Jewar,” an official spokesperson said.

Calling it the ‘CM’s dream project’, the spokesperson said that the terminal will connect UP with the entire country besides linking the state to ASEAN countries and the proposed India-UAE Europe Economic Corridor.
Once operational, the terminal will bolster exports from UP, facilitatating seamless connectivity between UP’s agriculture market, ODOP, and MSME markets with the global market.
