Adani Ports leads global rankings for Climate and Environmental Excellence

Adani Ports and Special Economic Zone Ltd (APSEZ) announced on Sunday that it has achieved the highest position for its efforts in addressing climate concerns and its environmental performance, according to evaluations conducted by four international rating agencies. The assessments, conducted by CDP, S&P, Sustainalytics, and Moody’s, highlighted the company’s exemplary performance in various aspects.

In the CDP Climate Assessment 2023, APSEZ secured a position in the ‘leadership band.’ Additionally, the company claimed the top spot in the environmental category among 324 companies in the transport and transport infrastructure sector, as per the S&P Global CSA 2023 rankings.

Furthermore, APSEZ attained the highest rank in the marine ports sector for its low carbon transition rating, as assessed by Sustainalytics. Moody’s Energy Transition Rating awarded the company an ‘advanced’ rating, and APSEZ also clinched the first position in the overall ESG Assessment and Strategy review in the latest update by Moody’s.

As a vital member of the globally diversified Adani Group, APSEZ holds the distinction of being the largest port developer and operator in India.
